Parenting Support

Being a parent is probably one of the most difficult - but also for many people - one of the most rewarding things to do!

We offer many different kinds of support:

Ask to speak with an Outreach Worker

If you live in Horley West or Central and have children under 5 you could ask to see an outreach worker. The worker can visit you at home and talk over worries or difficulties and also explain about the many different things available for parents with young children. Meet our outreach workers

Join a Parenting Puzzle course

You might like to join a parenting group where you will meet other parents and also find tips and new ways of understanding behaviours you may be finding difficult. People often make new friends at these groups.

Look for Family Links, Strengthening Families or Parent Talk (for parents of teenagers) on our courses page for what's on near you.

Attend a Play and Learn session

If you come along to our Play and Learn session you can have a good time with your child, join in different activities and also meet new people.

On Thursday mornings, activities are set up for parents or carers to play or do with their children from 9.45 am. Just before lunch everyone is encouraged to join in with singing and story time. You can meet other parents and your children can make friends too. It's also a great chance to play outdoors.

See our activities page for session times.
